Good Times and Boxed Whine

Oct 29, 2007

Well, I really wish that I can tell you that Carmen was having good days but I can't. She has been struggling, has no luck when it comes to her health, but continues to fight. There are a lot of numbers (Trina) and a lot of statistics, "looking at the xrays, and talking about time, sweet time". The doctors and nurses have been great, and trying really hard to save Carmen.

Sorry about not calling you guys back when you call. There are a lot of times I just don't feel like talking about it. Those of you that know me know that I'm somewhat private and don't like to talk on the phone normally anyway, and it's taking a lot of dedication just to write in this blog.

I wish there was good news for you all. Keep up your prayers and thoughts coming in Carmen's direction. Miracles do happen, and she of anyone could use one.

Carmen has been asleep through this whole fight and has not felt any pain. She is comfortable and getting great care.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Mike

Mike you are doing an amazing, unspeakable job of supporting Carmen and Dominic, as well as trying your best to keep those that are concerned informed and in the loop. Thank you so much for doing your best to keep up with the blog in the midst of your own concern for Carmen - your love for her is truly evident. We continue to pray without ceasing . . .

Mike please know these updates byway of blog are so comforting to those of us all over the country trying to keep up with Carmen and her battle. Times like this, those of us that you do not know are seeing the wonderful husband that Carmen so frequently tells us about. Please know prayer chains are working overtime for Carmen. Hope you can keep your strength that you have shown here. Thank you for blogging this and I know Carmen will think it's a hoot when she does awake and gets to read this.

I know it must be hard at times to keep this blog going. And I wish I could think of something really profound to say to help keep you inspired and make you feel better. But the best I can come up with is...I continue to pray for you and your family and hope for a miracle turn-around for Carmen!

    Mike,
I sent your mom's prayer out to all my friends, and they have all e-mailed back saying they are praying for her. Some of them know of her or have heard me talk of what a special and courageous person she is. So I hope all of these thoughts and prayers will keep her with us for a lot longer. Stay strong and we are here to help with anything. Hillary, Jason and Jaedyn

Mike, you're more man than I'll ever be by doing all the things you're doing for Carmen and Dominic. I told Carmen when you guys lived in Miami you seem like a great guy and you have lived up to that and more. Thanks for being her man and keeping us posted. I'm praying for us all.

I can only agree with everyone else her: thank you so much for keeping up this blog. I can only imagine how hard this must be for you but especially with us being all the way in Germany this is the only way I can get news about Carmen. Mike you are amazing and we are all with you and Carmen during this difficult time.
